    How does the Tier List work?
    Changes for the tier list is decided through voting and discussion between the Tier List Council, the tier list council consists of different players from all of Journey's Pixelmon servers. If you wish to suggest or discuss a change in the tier list, you may contact one of the representatives for your server and speak to them. Tier List balance changes are made on the first Monday of every month. If new Pokémon are added in to the game, they will be added to the tier list as soon as possible.

    Representatives:
    Kanto - Rumba, LegendaryGlaceon and Kinder.
    Johto - Mosapotayis, Qofol and Iced_Cola.
    Hoenn - Future_, Sidekixx and xGod.
    Sinnoh- Riddik, Baddie and Eric.
    Unova - PhoenixRising_, _Sacrilege_ and Pixqr.

    Feel free to also comment, discuss and talk about tier list changes in this thread!

    Mega Gallade -> Ubers. Incredibly op
    Sableye -> OU. With the mega it would be used alot more
    Azelf -> uu. So many counters + better pokes
    Cloyster -> pu/uu. So many counters + People always run dodgy sets on it
    Hoopa-unbound -> ubers. WIll be insanely op on pixelmon
    Landorus -> Ubers. It sweeps so well. Sheer force.
    Latios-mega -> Great sweeper incredibly op 700 bst.
    Victini -> Although normally bl/ou in smogon it has high potential imo on pixelmon hence why it should be checked before it is used.

    Only my opinions. No haterino.

    Sableye - Yeah but we don't want to force Pokémon like Sableye, Lopunny, Manectric, etc. in to higher tiers just because their Mega Evolution form are in those tiers. So in the future when we do tournaments in the lower tiers, it would still be possible to use these Pokémon, just without their Megastones.
    Azelf - It's an interesting suggestion, I'll bring it up with the council and we'll see what the conclusion is!
    Cloyster - This is a Pokémon that we're currently already looking in to.
    Landorus - Landorus is a very strong Pokémon but we've decided that it'll do fine in OU for now as Sheer Force is it's Hidden Ability which makes it very rare to get a proper one.
    As for Mega-Gallade, Mega-Latios, Victini and Hoopa-Unbound it's a bit too early to estimate strong they will be as the meta is/will be very chaotic because of the constant release of new Pokémon. For now we'll wait and see how well all Pokémon fair in our Tournaments and then the council will make changes to the tier list accordingly.

    Thank you for your input!

    Talonflame is pre nerf on pixelmon dark, Currently after nerf it is in BL. Still being a strong poke, I think until talonflame becomes nerfed like it tis currently on gen 7 it should be put in ubers.
    252+ Atk Sky Plate Gale Wings Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Venusaur-Mega: 236-278 (65 - 76.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    Should be all the proof i need, that not even choice band or sword dance.
    +2 252+ Atk Sky Plate Gale Wings Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Venusaur-Mega: 470-554 (129.4 - 152.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO (SD)

    What is the reasoning for moving Darkrai to OU?

    im not on the council, but we dont allow sleep moves in our e4s and t2s throughout the network from what I've seen so its not as going to capitalize on its main usage, sleep.

    Please no haterino:

    I'd like to test Aegislash as OU Pokémon again.

    While it seems that only the presence of Aegislash forces bringing checks for it, that is actually not true. Fire / Ground / Dark type moves are pretty common as offensive moves, highly threatening Aegislash.
    A lot of people say Aegislash has a good matchup versus a lot of playstyles in general, however, this highly depends on the set which is ran on Aegislash.
    This can be a offensive set with not only Shadowball and Gyroball, but also Sacred Sword or Shadow Sneak.
    Whatsoever this set can get walled by for example Amoongus or Mandibuzz.

    More wallbreaking sets with toxic can be ran over by HO teams, without Aegislash KO'ing a single Pokémon.

    It is true, King's Shield can force a lot of mind games, especially versus physical attackers. However one wrong prediction with King's Shield can mean Aegislash's death or a for example a Bisharp that gets a free Swords Dance.
    And with Defiant it does not really care too much about the Attack drop.

    Aegislash is very versatile but in my opinion every set has different checks which are a lot of the times in a normal OU team anyways.

    I would like to make a few cases for some tier changes, the tier list is healthy at the moment, but there is one major flaw I see it in.
    Darkrai from OU --> Uber
    To start off by making my case, it is NOT a special Weavile. Weavile has more checks and counters and does not have the stats to match Darkrai. Darkrai has incredible speed at max of 383, making it out speed almost everything in the current meta. The list of counters at the moment is incredibly small, with the only switch-ins being Chansey and Blissey. However, if everyone were to run Chansey and Blissey on teams to deal with Darkrai, it is incredibly harmful to the meta as it constricts team building. The reason Chansey and Blissey are the only counters are because of its incredible coverage as well. Darkrai has access to bolt-beam coverage, which is only resisted by Mamoswine, Lanturn, or Magnezone but even those are dealt with by Focus Blast and Dark Pulse. There are absolutely no switch-ins to a Darkrai, except for what I had listed in Chansey and Blissey. That is not enough for it to be healthy in the meta-game as again, it restricts team-building. On top of incredible coverage, stats, and lack of counters, it has access to set-up as well in Nasty Plot. With +2, not even Chansey is a reliable switch-in. Here are some calcs from the most reliable walls in OU at the moment:

    252 SpA Life Orb Darkrai Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 265-315 (75.2 - 89.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    252 SpA Life Orb Darkrai Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 220+ SpD Heatran: 250-294 (64.9 - 76.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    +2 252 SpA Life Orb Darkrai Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 442-523 (62.8 - 74.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
    252 SpA Life Orb Darkrai Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Zapdos: 289-341 (75.4 - 89%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
    252 SpA Life Orb Darkrai Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 48 SpD Tangrowth: 419-494 (103.9 - 122.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
    252 SpA Life Orb Darkrai Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tangrowth: 190-226 (47 - 55.9%) -- 76.2% chance to 2HKO
    252 SpA Life Orb Darkrai Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 72+ SpD Amoonguss: 265-312 (61.3 - 72.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

    Note that these are all Life Orb, Choice Specs does even more and guarantees an OHKO on some of these Pokemon. Focus Sash is also very viable as it guarantees a Nasty Plot as well, doing even more damage and knocking out almost every Pokemon on that list. None of these Pokemon, who are some of the most reliable walls in the game, cannot switch into Darkrai. Common Pokemon such as Dragonite, Garchomp, Azumarill, Latios, Bisharp, Gliscor and many others are OHKO'd by some of the many viable moves that Darkrai can have.

    Please move Darkrai to Ubers. Many people feel the same as I do, and especially with it being hard to obtain, many won't properly prepare for it in tournaments making it even more unstoppable. I hope the council approves for this ban, thank you.

    I for one am happy to see Darkrai depart from the OU Tier. (sucks I never got a chance to use it on my E4 team tho)
    Now that that thing is out of the way, I would like to propose a few tier changes.

    Alolan Ninetales OU -> UU/RU
    Honestly the only reason this thing ever sees any usage in Gen 7 is because of Aurora Veil. Aurora Veil is a very powerful move for offense teams allowing them extra survivability and set-up opportunities. However there is one glaring difference for Alolan Ninetales in Pixelmon. Aurora Veil doesn't exist. Now, I don't think Ninetales is useless without that move, as it can still be a weather setter and it has a cool Offensive STAB combo combined with a nice 109 speed, but with only 81 Special Attack it simply has no place in the OU Tier.

    Honchkrow OU -> UU
    I really don't know why this thing was put in OU to begin with. Talonflame does bird stuff better and Bisharp does punchy stuff better. Definitely could be cool in UU though

    Mega Absol OU -> UU
    I admit, I really like Mega Absol. It's probably my favorite mega design. And while it has a fairly strong Sucker Punch and a cool ability in Magic Bounce, it doesn't use either extremely well. Due to its paper thin defenses, Mega Absol is unable to safely switch in on many Pokemon in the way that a Magic Bounce user would like. Mega Absol lacks the power to beat the defensive Pokemon in the tier and lacks the bulk to handle the offensive Pokemon
    Some relevant calcs
    252 Atk Absol-Mega Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Salamence: 153-181 (46.2 - 54.6%) -- 61.3% chance to 2HKO
    252 Atk Salamence Outrage vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Absol-Mega: 306-360 (112.9 - 132.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

    252 Atk Absol-Mega Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 121-144 (37.4 - 44.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
    252 SpA Heatran Magma Storm vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Absol-Mega: 247-292 (91.1 - 107.7%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

    252 Atk Absol-Mega Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 234-276 (33.2 - 39.2%) -- 100% chance to 3HKO

    252 Atk Absol-Mega Sucker Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Pinsir-Mega: 109-129 (40.2 - 47.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

    Basically this thing looses to almost everything in OU not weak to Dark

    Alolan Raichu UU -> RU
    Even if this thing could use Surge Surfer, I don't think it would have any reason to be above it's Kanto counterpart. Especially because even if it did work the way it does in Sun & Moon, Electric Terrain would remain unviable in any Tier without Koko, thus giving it no reason to be banned from RU.

    Wobbuffet RU -> Unlisted
    This Pokemon is absolutely awful without Shadow Tag. Wobbuffet succeeds only in wasting a teamslot and being death fodder. All this thing will do is give your opponent a free switch into the booster or stallbreaker of their choice. Wobbuffet has no place on any serious team.

    Mantine NU -> RU
    Mantine is by far the best special wall currently in the NU Tier. Access to great support moves in Defog and Haze combined with relatively great bulk and Scald to threaten physical attackers make this Pokemon an all-around menace to deal with. It would be better suited for RU.

    Finally one that will probably be shot down immediately (but hear me out)
    Aegislash Ubers -> OU
    Aegislash was a Pokemon I hated to fight back in XY. It could use its Shield Form and King's Shield to set up Swords Dances and clean up with Shadow Sneak, or it would just switch in on any physical attacker and weaken it with King's Shield. Aegislash's signature ability, Stance Change allowed it to with between a defensive form with 60/150/150 bulk to an offensive form with 150 in both offenses whenever it pleased. And it could go right back the next turn with another King's Shield. I was very pleased when this thing was banned in Smogon OU. However things are a bit different in Pixelmon. The super bulky Aegi that we all used to know that could come in and set up for free doesn't exist. Currently Aegislash only has one form- Blade form. That means it permanently has 60/50/50 bulk. That's the same as a Beautifly. This thing isn't going to be switching in on anybody anytime soon. And once it's in it can't even risk trying to use Swords Dance. Sure it can still use King's Shield for that cool attack drop. And it can still Shadow Sneak (of course that's half as strong as MAbsol's Sucker which I showed off above). But with it's unfortunate speed of 60 there's no way this thing is using any other move unless it wants to be knocked out. Maybe it could be used on Trick Room or as a Banded wallbreaker. Otherwise it's just not going to shine the way it used to. Test it out maybe. See what you think. I think this thing could find a niche spot in OU but I don't even see it being very good.

    Alolan Ninetales OU -> UU/RU
    Aegislash Ubers -> OU

    Currently we evaluate the Pokémon based on their full potential (including moves/abilities that are not in the game yet), this decision was made a while back when Pixelmon Generations were a bit unpredictable when it comes to updates. If a server were to update two days before a RU Tournament and the update adds Aurora Veil in to the game, it puts the quality of the tournament in a bad spot as something too strong for the tier might be used. This is just an example but the same issue can be brought up for many other Pokémon that are not at their full potential (Aegislash, Tapus, etc.)

    This might change in the future as the developers of the Pixelmon mod have stated that they will be releasing updates to the mod more slowly in the future.

    Honchkrow OU -> UU
    This Pokémon was moved from UU to OU before the release of Pixelmon Dark, at that time it was moved up a tier because the Pokémon was too strong for UU. As many new Pokémon have been added in, I think this Pokémon could be looked over again to see if it would still be too powerful in the UU tier, this will be brought up with the council.

    Mega Absol OU -> UU
    I can bring this up with the council aswell. But for future reference when it comes to recommending Pokémon to be moved down tiers, it's much better to make a case for how it would not be too strong in the lower tier rather than making a case for how weak it is in it's current tier. Unlike Smogon we don't use usage values to determine the placing of Pokémon, so we evaluate the Pokémons by comparing it's strength to the other Pokémon in the tier to see if it would be too strong there or not.

    Alolan Raichu UU -> RU
    Mantine NU -> RU

    These will both be brought up to the council.

    Wobbuffet RU -> Unlisted
    All Pokémon that can't evolve further must be in the tier list.

    Thank you for speaking up and sharing your opinions on some of the Pokémon. Hope you have more thoughts and recommendations to contribute with in the future.

    Thanks for the response. Yeah I know we don't really have usage stats for our tiers so anything normally BL gets shoved into the tier above. It was 4 am when I made that post so I may have been a bit tired and forgetful. And yeah the stuff about updates makes sense.

    I would have said Wobb ought to be NU but I noticed Unown wasn't listed so I just assumed it would be ok. So in that case-

    Wobbuffet RU -> NU

    Unown Unlisted -> NU

    Thanks for taking the time to read through my long post :)
